Obituary for Elizabeth Annette Jewett Elizabeth Annette Jewett passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at her home in Beggs. She was 81 years old. Liz was born to the late L.D. Howie and Gladys Marie (Ferguson) Howie in Russellville, Arkansas on Saturday, June 6, 1936.
Liz met and married Roy Jewett in 1979 in Texas. She enjoyed playing golf and going bowling in her younger years. She and Roy spent a lot of time on their boat fishing.
Liz loved baseball. If she wasn’t watching the Texas Rangers on television then she was listening to them on the radio. They were her favorite baseball team.
Liz also liked listening to country music. She has been a member of the First Methodist Church of Beggs for 18 years. Liz is preceded in death by her parents.
Left to cherish all the memories of Liz is her husband of 39 years Roy Jewett, daughter Donna Tacker and husband Luke, granddaughter Amber Lipe and husband Jon, grandson Bobby Whitney, great grandchildren Robert and Destanee Whitney. A memorial service for Liz will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Beggs, Oklahoma with Reverend Rich Brasher officiating. In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorial contributions be made in honor of Liz to the Oklahoma Heart Institute 1120 South Utica Avenue, Tulsa OK 74104.
