OBITUARY Elizabeth “Bettie” Crowl September 28, 1923 – August 30, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Elizabeth “Bettie” Crowl, 94, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2018 in Jennings, LA. A native of Jennings, she and her late husband, Arthur, moved to Welsh where they raised their family while owning and operating Crowl TV & Appliance. Bettie was a member of First Church of Christ in Jennings.

She adored being “Gram” to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bettie enjoyed cooking, crocheting, reading, watching The Wheel of Fortune and sports; especially LSU, New Orleans Saints and Dallas Cowboys. She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Arthur Crowl; grandson, Brandon Scott Crowl; son-in-law, Hardy LaSage; parents, Cyrus and Nettie McLemore; and all of her siblings, Ervin McLemore, Clifford McLemore, Ernest McLemore, Guy McLemore, Earl McLemore; Ruth Butson, Annie Mae Henderson, Jeanette Williams, and Nobia Suckow.

Left to cherish her memory are her three children, David Crowl and wife Sharon of Chandler, TX; Tommy Crowl and wife Debbie of The Colony, TX, and Nancy LaSage of Jennings, LA; ten grandchildren, Todd Smith, Tim Smith, Troy Smith, Tami Lasage, Cheri LaSage; Amy Sanchez, Leah Hebert, Chad Crowl, Ryan Crowl, and Andrew Crowl; eighteen great grandchildren, Michael Smith, Sarah Smith, Samuel Smith, Carolyn Smith, Mackenzie Smith; Avery Smith, Hudson Smith, Haden Lasage, Addison Lasage, Keegan Crowl, Emery Crowl, Beth Quibodeaux, Sadie Quibodeaux, Sophie Quibodeaux, Tristen Lasage, Wyatt Hebert, Vivian Hebert, Luke Hebert; and one great-great granddaughter, Sophia Smith. Bettie’s funeral service will be at 2 pm Saturday, September 1, 2018 in First Church of Christ in Jennings. Brother Jack Harris will officiate.

Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery of Jennings. Visitation will be held in the church Friday, 4 – 9 pm and Saturday, 10 am until time of service at 2 pm. Words of comfort and memories may be shared with the family at www.
