Obituary for Elizabeth (Betty) Alden Cooksey Elizabeth (Betty) Alden Cooksey Funeral services for Betty Cooksey of El Reno will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, June 7, 2018 in the First Christian Church in El Reno, OK. Mrs. Tara Dew & Rev. Tom Cooksey will officiate.

Interment will be in the El Reno Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home. Mrs. Cooksey passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018 in Mercy Hospital with her family by her side.

She was born on June 15, 1941 in Hyannis, Massachusetts. Betty was a graduate of Wellfleet High School. Elizabeth Alden Cooksey married Darrel Cooksey on December 3, 1966 in Calumet, Michigan.

They came to Oklahoma in 1968 and have resided here since. Betty was the owner/ operator of the Meat Market Café in El Reno and at OKC West Stockyards. She was a member of the First Christian Church and she loved hummingbirds, bowling, cooking, but most of all spending time with family, especially the grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Kenneth & Cora (Ford) Paine. Survivors include: Her Husband Darrel Cooksey of the home. 2 – Sons: Brent Cooksey & wife Lee Anne of Yukon, OK.

Kenneth Cooksey & wife Shannon of Edmond, OK. 9 – Grandchildren and numerous other relatives and many dear friends. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church 400 S. Barker El Reno, OK.
