Obituary for Elizabeth Hensley Elmore Elizabeth Hensley Murphy Elmore was born in Harriman, TN to Frank and Winnie Hensley. She went home to be with her Lord November 21, 2018 just 6 days shy of her 90th birthday. She married the love of her life, Bill Murphy and moved to Middle Georgia where she raised her family and supported her community.

She was a beloved wife, wonderful mother and grandmother. She was a founding member of Shirley Hills Baptist Church in Warner Robins, GA. She was past President of the Ladies Auxiliary of Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).

She is fondly remembered by family and friends for her talents as a homemaker, cook and seamstress. Predeceased by her first husband, William M. Murphy, second husband, John Elmore, her parents, son, William Ricardo Murphy, daughter, Susan Murphy, grandson, Bradley Kyle Sorrells, brother, Tommy Hensley and sister Barbara Whittaker. Survived by her daughters, Patti Grammer (Bill), Lisa Murphy Bryant, adopted son Terry Giles Murphy, grandchildren, Brooke Bennett, William Grammer, Kelly Christmas, and Jared Bryant; great grandchildren, Corinne Grammer, Collin Grammer, and Bradley Sorrells.

Her sisters, Alma Joy Moore and Peggy Gunter. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. with funeral to follow Monday, November 26, 2018 at the Kyker Funeral Home in Harriman. Following the funeral service interment will take place in Roane Memorial Gardens.
