Ellen M. Bell, 61, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 25 at Hospice House Roseland after an extended illness. Ellen was born on July 13, 1956 in Lilbourn, Missouri. Ms. Bell had very recently moved to the Michiana area, having spent many years living in Arizona.

She was employed as a CNA for Home Healthcare until her illness made it difficult to continue working. Ellen is survived by her loving siblings: Etta Williams of South Bend, Mae Lemmon of Tucson, AZ, Cleo Snelling of Phoenix, AZ and Ed Snelling of Phoenix, AZ; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Ellen was preceded in death by her mother, Mattie (Summers) Dungines and brother Johnny Henderson.

The family of Ellen M. Bell would like to extend thanks and gratitude to friends Pat Blackwell, Barb Mosby and Alfred Ballard, as well as friend James Byers of Tucson, AZ. The family would also like to thank Palmer Funeral Homes, St Joseph Regional Medical Center of Mishawaka and Center for Hospice. Per Ellen’s wishes, no public services will be held.

The family may gather together privately at a later date to celebrate Ellen’s life. Palmer Funeral Home – West Chapel is assisting with arrangements. Online condolences may be left at www.
