Elliot James Henson, age 8 of Hendersonville, TN, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 3:00 pm after a long battle with cancer at the Vanderbilt University Children’s Hospital in Nashville, TN. Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 31, 2018 at the Indian Lake Peninsula Church, 235 Indian Lake Rd, Hendersonville, TN 37075 with burial to follow in the Hendersonville Memory Gardens in Hendersonville, TN.

Elliot was born October 10, 2010 in Oxford, MS to Chad Henson and Allison Borders. He is survived by a brother Isaac Henson maternal grandparents Rod and Gloria Borders of Jackson, MS and paternal grandparents Larry and Sharry Woody of Oxford, MS. Elliot was a 2nd grader at Indian Lake Elementary School.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time on Monday at the Indian Lake Peninsula Church in Hendersonville, TN. “Elliot’s loving spirit lives on in his parents’ decision to donate his corneas. Because of Elliot, two boys will be given the gift of sight.
