Mr. Ellis Edward Blake, 76, husband of the late Susan Gee Williams Blake and a resident of Melfa, VA, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at his home. Born February 8, 1942 in Donegal Township, Washington County, PA, he was the son of the late Ellis Cracroft Blake and Ethel Virginia Conner Blake. Ellis was a retired auto mechanic, whose love for cars led him to drag and stock car racing.

As an avid outdoorsman, he spent much of his free time hunting and fishing, hobbies he sustained throughout his life. Survivors include his children, Jody Hughes and husband Curt of Holbrook, PA; Lawrence “Buddy” Nalls, Jr. of Melfa, and Deborah Clayton and husband Raymond of Princess Anne, MD; and many extended family members, including his sisters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. To honor his wishes, a public service will not be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ellis’s memory to Riverside Shore Hospice, P.O. Box 615, Onley, VA 23418. Memory tributes may be shared with the family at www. williamsfuneralhomes.com.
