Elmer David Voyles March 22, 1951 – February 28, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Elmer David Voyles, 67, of Macon, MO, passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2019, at the Macon Healthcare Center. Elmer was born on March 22, 1951, in Ellington, MO, the son of Crutchley and Ruby (Meade) Voyles. He was married to Carol Thurman Voyles on October 16, 1976 in Kirksville, MO, she preceded him in death on December 5, 1991, and later to Marsha Wilson on September 19, 1992 in Kirksville, MO.

Elmer was a member, Deacon and song leader at the United Trinity Assembly of God Church in Macon. He had worked for over 30 years for MODOT and enjoyed hunting, cutting wood, food, and spending time with his family. Elmer is survived by his wife, Marsha of the home; four children, Nakia Kohn and her husband Jim of Clarence, MO, Misty Sayler and her husband Justin of Macon, MO, Janessa Hickam and her husband Mike of Huntsville, MO, and Craig Voyles of Macon, MO; his grandchildren, Gregory, Ayden, Jonah, and Landon Sayler, Mikayla, Ethan, and Connor Hickam.

He is also survived by his siblings, Juanita McIntire, Beverly Curtis, Ray Voyles, Melvin Voyles, Jerry Voyles, Melba Staat, Alvie Voyles, Eileen Lozuaway, and Gene Voyles; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Eddie Voyles; and his first wife, Carol. Funeral services will be 1:30 pm, Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at the United Trinity Assembly of God Church in Macon with Rev.

Mike Birdsong officiating. Burial will be in the Elmer Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5 to 7 pm at the church.

The family suggests memorials to the United Trinity Assembly of God Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, MO.
