Obituary for Elsa Mae Chitwood Haviland, Kansas – Elsa Mae Chitwood, 92, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Home Again Senior Living in Haviland. She was born December 16, 1925 in Sun City to William Clell and Elsie Ida (Wiltshire) West. On July 14, 1954, she married Jerry Chitwood in Springfield, Tennessee.

He preceded her in death on March 4, 1990. Elsa was a previous member of Pratt Emblem Club, Glendale HDU and was a pink lady in the PRMC Auxiliary. She is survived by her children, Richard (Nila) McCorkle of Harlingen, Texas, Vicki (Tim) Carr Donnelly of Santa Cruz, California, Michael (Anita) McCorkle of Ridgway, Colorado and Kristi (Kurt) Whitney of Haviland; eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and another on the way; and five great great grandchildren.

Elsa is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry; and great grandson, Zachary McCorkle. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. family receiving friends from 5-7 at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 29, 2018 at Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt.
