OBITUARY Elton Obier September 3, 1944 – October 2, 2018 Elton “Leroy” Obier, 74, of Lynchburg, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at his residence. He was the husband of Mary Davis Obier. Born on September 3, 1944 in Maryland, he was the son of the late Elton Lee Obier and the late Evelyn Brann Obier.

Leroy retired from Service Trucking and was a member of Timberlake United Methodist Church. In addition to his wife, Mary Obier, he is survived by his children, Tammy Obier, Christal Obier, and Dennis Obier and wife Melissa; two step-children, Wendy Saunders and Greg Woodall; seven grandchildren, Shana Hendricks, Tiffany Gordon and husband Chris, Michelle Obier, Arya Obier, Timothy Creammer, TJ Creammer, and Dustin Woodall; two great grandsons, Levi and Logan Gordon; sister, Judy Holdren and husband Arvid; niece, Teresa Holdren and her friend Tommy Hayes; and numerous friends. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Senior Independent Care and Centra Hospice for all their love and care during Leroy’s illness.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service till 4:30 pm. Leroy suffered from Hemoekroemuhtoesis.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Liver Foundation at www. liverfoundation.org.
