Obituary for Elvira Harrison Elvira “Sister” Harrison, age 66, a 20-year resident of Oak Park, passed away April 11, 2018. She was born January 26, 1952 in Salem, Alabama. Elvira was predeceased by her parents, Wiley and Ida Harrison, and one sister, Annie Berry.

She is survived by her siblings, Morris Gray, Alona Milner, Beverly Harrison and Debbie (Jerome) Persell; and many nieces and nephews. Mother to Tanika Lowe and Jeffrey Harrison; and grandmother to Jonathan, Jordan, Ethan and Eanej. Also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.

Elvira formerly worked at Detroit Osteopathic Hospital and Botsford Hospital. She currently was employed at McLaren Macomb Hospital in Mt. Clemens, where she was an educator in Administration.

In her spare time, Elvira enjoyed visiting and taking care of her family and shopping. Visitation Monday 4-8 p.m. and Tuesday 10 a.m. until the time of the service 11 a.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W 11 Mile Road (4 blocks E of Woodward), Royal Oak, MI 48067.
