Taft – Emeterio “Emmett” Castillo, Jr. passed away at his home on November 22, 2018. He was 68. Emmett was born in Ralls, Texas on December 11, 1949 to Emeterio and Guadalupe (Salazar) Castillo.

He was a lifelong resident of Taft. Emmett was formerly employed at ProFab in Aransas Pass and Taft as a painter and sandblaster. Emmett proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

He was a loving son, brother , uncle and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. Preceding in death are his parents, Emeterio and Guadalupe Castillo. Survivors include siblings: Manuel Castillo (Mary) of Portland, Texas; Maria Gamez (Jaime) of Taft, Texas; Guadalupe Castillo (Norma) of Taft, Texas; Vicente Castillo (Marie) of Calallen, Texas and Delma Castillo of Taft, Texas.
