Probus, age 94, of Ekron, KY, passed away Monday, March 18, 2019 at her residence in Ekron. Emma was born October 4, 1924 in Springfield, Ill, daughter of the late Hobert and Leatta Runkles Ferry. Her husband, Wilbur Probus; brother, Ernest Ferry; and sister, Myrtle Graham also preceded her in death.

Emma was a beloved member of Ekron Baptist Church for 27 years. She was a proud member of Vine Grove Tops where she achieved Queen Status. While in Germany, she took care of many Army children.

Emma loved the Lord and lived for her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her five children: Beverly Woosley of Caneyville, KY, John (Sheryl) Hatalla of Palmyra, IN, David (Faye) Probus of Hope Mills, NC, Robert (Vickie) Probus of Clarksville, IN, and Carol (Roy) Farrow of Ekron, KY; fifteen grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 22 at 11:00 AM EDT at the Ekron Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Ekron Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 21 from 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM EDT from the Chapel of Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home in Brandenburg and Friday, March 22 after 9:00 AM at the church.
