Erna Eve Vincent age 84, of Rockford, formerly of Elsie, MI, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2018, at Bishop Hills Elderly Care, Rockford, MI. Funeral Services will be held at the Elsie United Methodist Church on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Rob Nystrom officiating. Burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery, Ovid, MI.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. with an Eastern Star Service at 7:00 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, MI. Erna was born in Owosso, MI on March 27, 1934, the daughter of LeRoy and Gladys (Knight) Vincent. She graduated from Elsie High School with the class of 1952.

Erna loved playing bingo, jig saw puzzles, coloring, gardening, and reading. Erna spent many winters in Punta Gorda, Florida where she loved riding her bike. She was member of Eastern Star, Eagle Point Social Club and a lifelong member of the Elsie United Methodist Church.

She is survived by 2 nephews: Jim Egbert of Elsie, MI; and Dan Egbert and Cindy Horan of Rockford, MI; great niece Cari and Kanyon Robertson of Plainwell, MI; 3 great nephews: David and Faatima Egbert of Toronto, Canada; Nathan and Sarah Egbert of Holland, MI; Tim and Jacqueline Egbert of Gallatin, TN. She is also survived by great-great nieces and nephews: Kaylen, Josephine, Aydan, Carson, Ethan, Harper, Zeek, Theodore, and Janora. She was predeceased by her parents LeRoy and Gladys, and her siblings: William Vincent, Kay and Lyn Egbert, and Lee Vincent.
