Ernest Jackson, Jr. July 11, 1925 – January 1, 2019 Ernest “Pat” Jackson, Jr., departed this life on Passages Hospice on Tuesday, January, 1, 2019 at the age of 92. He was a native of Bridge City, LA and a resident of Avondale, LA. Ernest served his country in the U.S. Navy and he retired from Avondale Shipyard.

Husband of the late Clara West Jackson. Companion of the Josephine Veal Washington for over 60 years. Father of Antoinette (Ben) Jones, Laura Lane (Marvin) Turner, Debbie Lewis, Eric (Janie) Veal, Sr., Charlie Veal, Mark (Lisa) Veal, Sr., Claudette Cargoes, Louella Jackson, Kim Lee, Trishton Jackson, Welton (Shelia) Clinton, Hilda McClure, Betty Landix, Horace (Barbara) Washington, Sr., and the late Ernest Jackson, III, Joann Jackson, Beverly Jackson, Nathaniel Washington, David Veal, Naomi Washington, and Caroline Washington.

Son of the late Ernest, Sr. and Cora Hymes Jackson. Brother of the late Evelyn Hunneycut (Rev. ), Adline (Merrite Sr.) Leon, Geneva Jackson, Shirley (Johnnie) Neal, Willie (Eliska)Washington, Lawrence Jackson, Melvin (Geneva) Jackson, and Isiah (Nevaudo) Jackson, also survived by host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
