Ethel Mae Church age 94 of Lansing died Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Margate Health and Rehab Center. Miss Church was born March 26, 1924 in Ashe County to the late Everett and Celia Osborne Church. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her brother, Walter Church and sisters, Laura Miller and Virginia Roten.

Ethel loved to sing, her favorite songs was Jesus Loves Me. She had a strong faith and would always say how she longed to be with her mother and father in heaven. She loved to travel and collect photographs.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Lloyd Day. Burial will follow in the Miller Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm Wednesday prior to the funeral service. Miss Church is survived by nieces, Betty Mahaffey, Ann Woodie, Bonnie Black, Sue Miller and Kay Miller and nephew, Bobby Church. Flowers will be appreciated or memorials may be made to Margate Health and Rehab Activity Fund, 540 Waugh St., Jefferson, NC 28640.
