Ethel’s Obituary Ethel Vargo, 96, of Dearborn, Michigan, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully and quietly in the arms of, Elmer, her loving husband of 75 years, on January 19, 2019. She is also survived by her two daughters, Kathleen Yesh and Linda Read; her son, David Vargo (Sheila Collins); granddaughter, Jennifer Wallace (Scott); grandson, Peter Vargo; and great grandsons, Avery and Alder Wallace. Ethel was loved by her family and friends, and will be remembered for her gentle kindness and friendly personality.

She was active in her church community, volunteered with AARP for income tax preparation and was an accomplished arts and crafter. She enjoyed making felted ornaments, Japanese Bunka and crocheted snowflakes. She was a resident at Henry Ford Village for the past 15 years.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to: St. Paul Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice in her memory. Visitation on Sunday, January 27 between the hours of 2:00PM-6:00PM at the Dearborn Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 22546 Michigan Avenue. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 29 at 11:00AM (Instate 10:00AM) at St. Paul Lutheran Church located at 21915 Beech Street in Dearborn.
