Eugene’s Obituary Eugene Arthur Hagen, 76, of Mexico, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at SSM St. Mary’s Hospital-Audrain. A Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, March 29, at Arnold Funeral Home. Eugene was born on January 24, 1943 in Fergus Falls, Minnesota.

On October 1, 1994 in St. Charles, he married Carol Bentzinger. Mr. Hagen was a proud veteran, and a dedicated police officer for over 32 years, serving with St. Charles County and the Bridgeton Police Department. He was a member of the Sante Fe Christian Church and enjoyed living history re-enactments and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Hagen of Mexico; one son, Eric (Michelle) Hagen of Wentzville; three grandchildren, Emily, Ashley and Jacob Hagen; one sister, Patricia (Don) Maynard of Viburnum; and two nephews, Bob Maynard and Jim Maynard. Mr. Hagen was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, c/o Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 65265.
