Our Earthly Angel, Eva Sue Parham went to her heavenly home Sunday, November 11, 2018. She is preceded in death by her mother, Edith Lee Rogers, her father, Robert B. Rogers, and brother, Charles Rogers. Surviving and missing her so are her husband, Calvin M Parham, her daughters, Susan Flowers (Hal), Jennie Paschal, and Jamie Padgett (Richard), 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Her brother, Don R. Rogers (Carolyn) and sister-in-law, Linda Rogers. Sue was born in Fort Stewart, Ga. She spent most of her life in Buncombe County.

She graduated from Erwin High School in 1958 and then obtained a Bachelor’s degree from Appalachian State University in education. She began her teaching career at Fairview Elementary School, and then continued teaching at West Buncombe Elementary School. She retired after 32 years of service.

She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. She was loved throughout her community and made a significant impact on others.

She enjoyed flower decorating, camping, sitting by the creek and a warm fire. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. A celebration of life service will be held, Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Mt.

Carmel Baptist Church, 200 Mt. Carmel Rd. , Asheville, NC 28806, at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials gifts may be made to Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Building Fund or The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation. (themmrf.org/) This is not a goodbye, but only our “See you later, Nonny!
