Banach, age 85, a resident of Harrison Township, Michigan passed Friday, February 22, 2019 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, Clinton Twp. , MI. She was born June 23, 1933 in Meadville, Wisconsin to the late Toivo and Lillian (Sturkol) Westerback.

On March 2, 1957, she was united in marriage to Tadeusz “Ted” Banach. Together they have shared nearly 62 years of marriage. Evelyn formerly worked as a Realtor at Realty Executives.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Clinton Twp. where she was active with Stephen’s Ministry and the Women’s League. Evelyn enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, baking, playing scrabble, and reading.

Traveling across the country with her husband in the RV created many wonderful memories over the years. She always welcomed the opportunity to spend time with her grandchildren and will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to her family. She is survived by her husband Ted, sons Dale, Paul (Carol), and Kenneth (Karen) Banach, brother Ron (Barb) Westerback, nine grandchildren Ryan, Andrea, Michael (Maranda), Jacqueline (Ben), Samantha (Adam), Nicholas, Joshua, Ashley, and Ally, and three great-grandchildren Eowyn, Aiyanna, and Benjamin.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Sandra Kennedy and grandson Christopher. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 1, 2019 from 2:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. in the Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, 140 South Main Street, Mount Clemens, MI. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 11:00a.m. (visitation starting at 10:00a.m.) on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 38900 Harper Ave.

, Clinton Twp. , with the Rev. Gary Richard, Pastor officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Trinity Lutheran Church, Salvation Army, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Share memories with the family at www. vickfuneralhome.com.
