Mueller, a resident of Sterling Heights, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the age of 94. She was born June 4, 1924 in Rheinhausen, Germany to the late Wilhelm and Martha Luise Prang Keller. On October 9, 1948 in Germany, she was united in marriage to Wihelm Mueller.

Together they celebrated their 57th Wedding Anniversary. Mr. Mueller preceded his wife in death on February 1, 2006. Erna was employed at Saint Joseph Hospital East and later at Saint Joseph Hospital West (now known as Henry Ford Macomb) as an operating room technician and later as a nurse assistant for over 30 years.

She retired in 1988. She was formerly a member of the Carpathia Society, but her true passion was flower gardening. She will be remembered for her love of baking, including German recipes for cakes and other pastries.

On her artistic side, she enjoyed ceramics and crafts. She will be greatly missed by her children, Helga (Michael) Sampson and Wilhelm (Rose) Mueller. She was the proud grandmother of Michael (Laura), Ann (Ed), Stephen (Jane), Jennifer (Bryan) and Kevin.

Great grandchildren, Bradley, Dana, Michael, Brooke, Ethan, Braden, Kyan, Joey and Kaylee also survive. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers and sisters and grandson William. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 4, 2019 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm in the Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, 140 South Main, Mount Clemens, Michigan.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 11:00 am in the funeral home with the Rev. William Lawrence officiating. Burial will take place at Cadillac Memorial Gardens Cemetery East, Clinton Township, Michigan.
