Schroeder, age 91, a resident of Clinton Township, Michigan passed peacefully of natural causes on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Fraser Villa. She was born on April 28, 1927 in Nanty Glo, Pennsylvania to the late Jan and Bronislawa (Wyszymski) Krasowski. At an early age, her family moved to Michigan and she lived for times in Hamtramck, Ray Center, and in Mount Clemens where she met her husband Clarence Leonard Schroeder.

They were married in Lucas County, Ohio on May 31, 1949. Together they shared 36 years of marriage before he passed on September 23, 1985. Helen and Leonard raised two sons; Robert and Steven, and she and her family had a wonderful life together.

They enjoyed boating on Lake St. Clair, spending time at their farm in Applegate in the summer, and skiing in the winter. Helen’s great sense of humor and loving heart was a big part of their family. She and her impish smile will be missed.

In her later years, the light of her life was her grandson Casimir. Helen is survived by her son Robert and his wife Laura, as well as her son Steven and his wife Janine and their son Casimir. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence, and siblings Walter, Stanley, Ted, Jeanette, and Julie.
