Hutton, age 81, a resident of Capac, Michigan passed on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Beaumont Hospital in Troy, MI. He was born on January 25, 1938 in Toronto, Canada. Robert was united in marriage to the former JoAnne F. (Wolf) Torp on August 16, 1989 in Kentwood, MI.

Bob and JoAnne were happily married and enjoyed life together. She preceded him in death on November 4, 2016 after 27 years of marriage. After relocating to Vancouver, Canada as a young man, Robert began working on the docks as a truck driver.

Shortly thereafter, he was taken under the wing of a trucking firm’s owner who taught him all about the trucking business. The mentoring he received and his dedicated work ethic provided a solid foundation for a life-long career in this industry. From that point, Bob worked in freight sales, from the west coast of Canada, through several interior provinces.

He retired as a highly respected, multi-million dollar salesman for AD Transport in Michigan. Earlier in life, Robert enjoyed his national pastime of playing hockey. He could often be found watching football on a relaxing Sunday afternoon.

Visiting and socializing with friends were always highlights of his day. Robert and his wife JoAnne enjoyed traveling over the years, seeing much of North America; they traveled extensively through the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean Islands. He will be missed by his step-daughters; Rev.

Cherie (Rev. Alan) Bignell, Suzanne (John) Schuler, and Jodie (Todd) Nelson, eight grandchildren; Allison (Joseph) Verdi, Emily Bignell, Joshua (Kimberlee) Land, Kristina Land, Amanda (Adam) Chismar, Gabrielle Land, David (Leah) Schuler, and Daniel Schuler, and great-granddaughters; Aubree, Teagen, and Camilla. Bob is also survived by his brother-in-law and close friend Raymond Wolf and his wife Martha and their family.

Cremation arrangements entrusted to the Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, 140 South Main Street, Mount Clemens, MI. Private burial will be in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery, Clinton Twp. Share memories with the family at www.
