Obituary for Mrs. Evelyn J. Coulombe Mrs. Evelyn J. Coulombe of Hope, NY, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2018 at Nathan Littauer Hospital. Her loving family was by her side. Born in Gloversville, NY, she is the daughter of the late Eugene and Ruth Zoller.

Evelyn is a lifetime resident of the area and attended Wells Central School and Fulton-Montgomery Community College. She was employed for many years as a Registered Nurse at Nathan Littauer Hospital. She was also a retired Captain of the United States Army Reserves.

She is of the Methodist faith, a member of the Eastern Star, the former Juanita Chapter. Evelyn was also one of the first EMT’s of the Wells Ambulance Corp. She enjoyed traveling and camping, hunting trips with her husband and the company of her beloved cat.

Above all Evelyn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, she loved to spend time with her family. Her loving family includes husband of 37 years, Robert J. Coulombe, whom she wed, December 30, 1980; children, Scott Anderson(Cherri) of Wells, John(Jean) Anderson of Wells, Bonnie(Mark) Brenneisen of Queensbury, Craig Anderson of Wells, Lynn(Jeff) Kaiser of Wells, Lori Coulombe of Benson and Kevin (Diane) Coulombe of Poughkeepsie; grandchildren, Ashley Anderson Gadway, Kyle Bailey, Justinia Costantino, Kourtney Coulombe, Brittany Bailey, Shannon Kralovic, Eric White, Michael White,II, James Gugenberger, Elizabeth Gregg and Brittany Morgan; several great grandchildren. Her sisters Marlene Z. Rust and Gretchen Zoller also survive, along with many nieces and nephews.

There will be a private service at the convenience of the family. Family and friends are invited to a memorial gathering for Evelyn on June 16, 2018 at 2pm at Bucky’s Flats. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, Wounded Warriors Project or to the James Brennan Memorial Humane Society.
