Mrs. Evelyn K. Dahlstedt, age 94, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019. Born August 16, 1924 to Joseph and Julia (Gerecz) Butor in Chicago, IL, Evelyn lived most of her life in the Muskegon area. She graduated from Hackley School of Nursing Class of 1945 and worked as an RN at Hackley Hospital for over 30 years helping to bring many babies into the world.

On September 27, 1947 she married A.W. (Whitey) Dahlstedt and he survives her along with children Dr. Dennis Dahlstedt of Bloomfield Hills, Thomas Dahlstedt (Laurel) of Grand Rapids, and Julie Bamfield (Dennis Wasserman) of Muskegon, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Evelyn enjoyed reading, playing cards, golf, and the many winters she spent in Florida. She loved animals and her greatest joy was being with family.

According to her wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a private memorial service with family. Memorial contributions can be made to Pound Buddies or the charity of your choice.
