Obituary for Evelyn “Lady” Kaylor Evelyn “Lady” Kaylor, 94, of Guntersville, AL passed gently at home August 31, 2018. A “Celebration of Life Luncheon” will be held at First Presbyterian Church fellowship hall ( 501 College St, Albertville, AL) at 11:45 am Sunday September 9, 2018. All are welcome to share memories and fellowship.

Known fondly by the sobriquet “Lady” by all her friends and family, she was born in Athens, Alabama and was a 1943 graduate of Athens High. She received her B.A. from the University of Montevallo in 1947. She was married 52 steadfast years to Rev.

William Kaylor, also of Athens. After a brief career in social work, Lady spent her entire life as a loving and supportive wife and mother, and a volunteer. She was an active garden club member and volunteer for PEO and AAUW.

She had an elan for bridge and gracious entertaining. She loved adventure and traveled the world. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Kaylor, her sister, Myrtice Jennings, and brothers, LaVern Walker and Robert Walker.

Lady is survived by her two loving daughters, Robin Dunn, of Atlanta GA, and Dawn Kaylor-Wallace, of Guntersville, her adoring grandchildren, Ryan Dunn, Bailey Gladysz, Kevin Dunn, Kaylor Anne Wallace, John Wallace, William Wallace, and niece Emily Johnson, and nephew Don Walker, and great nephew William Johnson. In lieu of flowers, a suggestion of any charitable organization in her honor. Dawn and Robin wish to express their sincere thanks to Heartlite Hospice for their loving and compassionate care.
