Evelyn McClendon 86 of Ravenna went home to be with the Lord on February 12, 2019. Evelyn “Evelynnie” was born June 25, 1932 in Ravenna, Ohio to the late Edward and Mary Rose (Williams) Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband Ben McClendon and siblings Mary Ellen Taylor Foy, Earl F. Taylor, Edwin Taylor, Edith Taylor Brown, Etta Taylor Brantley Johnson and Eugene Taylor.

She had worked as a cook for Eastpark and other local restaurants and volunteered at King Kennedy Center in Ravenna. Evelyn leaves behind to cherish her memory two sisters Eva Taylor and Edna Taylor Hicks Knight of Ravenna and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Cremation has taken place.

A memorial service will be at 11 AM Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.
