EVERETT LEE JOHNSON Everett Lee Johnson, 77, was born in Wetumka, Ok on April 20, 1941. His sunset came on December 10, 2018, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his brother Milton Clark.

Everett served his country as a Paratrooper in the US Army and fulfilled two tours in Vietnam from 1965 to 1968. Everett grew up in Champaign, Illinois, and returned there after his military service. He was married to the love of his life, Ethel for 40 years.

He adopted five children whom he loved, mentored and guided. Everett moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 1972, where he was employed by the City of Kansas City, Mo, as a building inspector and was elevated to several managerial positions in his 25 years of service with the city. He was a longtime member of Allen-St. John AME Church and worked in the community with a variety of organizations.

He was a kidney transplant recipient. He spent more than 30 years on dialysis. Everett is survived by his loving wife, Ethel Johnson; sister: Georgia Clark of Overland Park, Ks; brothers: Dewey Clark of Kansas City, Mo, Reginald Johnson and Earnest Johnson of Oklahoma City, and sister Brender Johnson of Oklahoma City, a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, December 28, 2018 at Allen Chapel AME Church 4125 Benton Blvd. KCMO Visitation 11:00 A.M. Interment Mt. Washington Cemetery.
