Obituary for Everlena Whelchel Frazier Dateline – Joanna, SC Everlena Whelchel Frazier, age 98, the widow of R. H. Frazier and longtime resident of Joanna passed away Friday, January 11, 2019 at the National Health Care of Clinton. She was born in Gaffney, SC and was a daughter of the late Benson D. and Everlena Garner Whelchel. She retired from the Clinton Mills, Lydia Plant, was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church and loved by all that knew her.

Surviving are her son, Tommy Frazier and wife, Reithie of Paris, TX; her two daughters, Lunette Smaltz Livingston of Joanna, Barbara Baker and husband, Bill of Fountain Inn; one sister, Nellie Hughes of Laurens; her six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by five brothers and five sisters. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton with burial at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Activities Department of NHC c/o National Health Care of Clinton, 304 Jacobs Highway, Clinton, SC 29325.
