An extraordinary gentleman, Mr. Fayez Khellah, departed to be with the Lord. He was born on February 19, 1941 in Upper Egypt, he bravely immigrated to the United States in 1971. With God’s grace, Mr. Khellah’s work ethic and intelligence allowed him to achieve the true “american dream”.

He spent over 30 years building and gradually developing a successful business allowing him to be a leader in the taxicab industry. Mr. Khellah was one of the pioneers and the founders of the Coptic movement in the United States and Canada; he served alongside Dr. Shawki Karas and Dr. Selim Naguib. Mr. Khellah was a philanthropist, generous, self denying, humble, and loving.

His love for his Coptic people reflected through his actions, his words and his behind the scene services. He helped establish the American Coptic Association, Coptic Solidarity and led many rallies to be a voice for the voiceless and defend the defenseless, the persecuted Christians of Egypt. He was a thoughtful, understanding, ambitious, funny, light heated man, and always wore his heart on his sleeve.

The world lost, and he is in his final place in heaven with Christ. He is survived and remembered by his children; Sons John & Andrew and his wife Elizabeth; Daughter Mary and his Granddaughter Ava. Relatives and Friends are invited to the Funeral Liturgy at St. George & St. Shenouda Coptic Orthodox Church in Jersey City on Wednesday, 12/19.

Entombment to follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Linden, NJ.
