Florence (Flo, GG) Marie Bove, age 85, passed away peacefully at her home in Staten Island, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, January 22, 2019. She was born on November 25, 1933 in Brooklyn, New York to Anthony and Catherine Fasano. She married Gaetano Bove in 1956 in Brooklyn and together, they had 4 children.

Flo loved good food and socializing with her family and friends, enjoyed going to movies and traveling to Atlantic City. Flo was also a member of the Red Hat Society social club and had a smile that could light up a room. She is survived by her 3 children, Cathy (Salvatore) Ciliento, Michael Bove, and Gaetano (Angela) Bove; 4 grandchildren, Guy (Maria) Bove, Paul (Jeanie) Ciliento, Anthony (Sarah) Ciliento, and Patricia Bove; 5 great grandchildren, Michael, Dylan, Robert, Guy, and Nicholas; her brothers, Pat and Tony Fasano; and many nieces and nephews.

Flo was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Josephine and Linda, her brothers, Anthony and Robert, her husband Gaetano Bove, and her son, Robert Bove. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 11:00 am at the St. Patrick’s Church, 53 St Patricks Pl, Staten Island. The family will greet friends from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm on Friday, January 25, 2019 at the John Vincent Scalia Funeral Home, 28 Eltingville Boulevard, Staten Island.
