Obituary for Florence Mae Shepherd (Burkhart) Florence Mae Shepherd (Burkhart), age 76, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018, at her residence. She was born February 13, 1942, to the late Dewey and Naomi Burkhart. Mrs. Shepherd was a member of Rose Valley United Methodist Church and worked at the North Stewart Water District office.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sisters, Ora Lee McGovern and Janie Travis, and brother, James Hugh Burkhart. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Lewis Shepherd, daughter, Cindy Schoolfield (Monty), son Lewis Shepherd Jr., grandkids, Chris and Deanna Schoolfield, sisters, Betty Turner, Carolyn Threatt, Wanda Coleman, all of Indian Mound, TN, brothers, Leon Burkhart, Jonesboro, AR, and Donnie Burkhart, Dover, TN, and special niece and caregiver, Kelly Watters. The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro.
Paul Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, in Indian Mound, TN. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of service on Wednesday.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of all memorials, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Rose Valley United Methodist Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, Tennessee.
