Florence “Ophelia” Cochran Parrish, 94, of Phenix City, AL passed away early Thursday morning, December 20, 2018 in the comfort of her home while surrounded by her loving family. A celebration of life funeral service will be held 11:00 am EST on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City with Pastor Tony Floyd and Pastor Phillip Camp officiating. A private interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 10:00 – 11:00 am EST, one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Mrs. Parrish was born December 1, 1924 in Bartow, FL and was the daughter of Charlie “Swink” Cochran and Bessie Elizabeth Newman Cochran. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister who loved and cherished her family.

She enjoyed working in her flower garden, cooking, and was active with all the programs with church missions, Sunday school, and committed to God’s works. She loved people and fellowship. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church in Phenix City.

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Cochran, and Louise Thomas, three brothers, Robert Cochran, Charles Cochran, and Swink Cochran, Jr., and one granddaughter, Danielle Wade. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 72 years, Daniel Mason “Buddy” Parrish, two daughters, Donna Harden and husband Bill, and Dianna Byrd and husband Jerry, and one son, Danny Parrish and wife Tammy; two sisters, Laverne Ingram, and Ravenell Caraway and husband L. C.; (6) grandchildren, several great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, church family, and many caring friends.
