Obituary of Florence Farr Port Leyden- Florence M. Farr, 92, a longtime resident of Fowlerville Road and widow of Jesse E., passed away at her residence, on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, while under the care of her loving family and hospice. Florence was born June 15, 1926, a daughter of George and Marion Morrison Howard. She grew up on the West Road, near the hamlet of Talcottville, where she received her education.

On July 22, 1950, she was united in marriage with Jesse E. Farr, at Talcottville. Shortly thereafter the couple settled on the Fowerville Road, near Port Leyden. The main focus of her life was being a loving wife and mother.

She greatly enjoyed her role as homemaker and also gardening, sewing, doing puzzles and she enjoyed the outdoors. She is survived by four sons, Jesse Farr (companion Sandy), Edwin (Sandy) Farr, Edward (Yvette) Farr, Arthur (Jennifer) Farr, two daughters, Carolyn (Bob) Nagy, Arlene (Chris) Fuller and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, also surviving is a son-in-law Wayne Rogers. She was predeceased by her husband, Jesse; three daughters, Josephine, Barbara, Charlott; a son Karl, a granddaughter, Tina and a grandson, Luke.

Also surviving is a sister, Mary Ann Bowen. She was predeceased by her brothers, Phil, George and Ray and by her sisters, Ruth, Jenny, Myrtle and Clara. A private graveside service will be held in the spring, in Penny Settlement Cemetery, Town of Lyonsdale at the convenience of her family.

In keeping with her wishes, there are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Friends of Lewis County Hospice, P.O. Box 266, Lowville, NY 13367. Her arrangements are in care of Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. Boonville.
