Florine’s Obituary Florine Brown-Terrell, age 90, of Little Rock, Arkansas, was granted her angel wings on Thursday, November 29, 2018, with her loving daughter, Barbara by her side. She was born October 20, 1928 in Prescott, Arkansas to the parentage of Edgar and Josephine Kenebrew-Brown. Florine spent her early life growing up between Hope, Arkansas and Phoenix, Arizona, before settling down in Hope.

Florine acquired the nickname “Kate” from her brothers and sisters. She loved people, especially children. She was known for taking in kids who needed a place to stay and a warm meal.

Helping others truly gave her joy. She loved to cook. For many years Florine served as the main chef at Perry Campbell’s Restaurant in Perrytown, Arkansas.

After her health began to fail she moved to Little Rock to be with her daughter, Barbara who cared for her until the end. Florine was proceeded in death by her afore-mentioned parents; a daughter Arcennia Louise Conway; four brothers: John Henry “Sonny Boy” Brown, Benny Joe Brown, Bill Brown, Melvin Brown and one sister, Hattie Brown-Hunter. Florine departed this life on Thursday, November 29, 2018.

She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters: Daisey Daniels of Phoenix, Doris Conway (Johnnie Jr.) of Hope, Barbara Kelley (Frank) of Little Rock, Arkansas; three brothers; Charles Brown, Clifford Brown and Dickie Brown all of Phoenix; one sister- Betty Alexander of San Diego, California; five grandsons: Allen Mercer Jr. of Little Rock, Jamarcus Mercer (Delaney) of Springfield, Missouri, Lonnie Terrell, Jody Daniels and Carl Daniels (Dolores) all of Phoenix; three granddaughters; Taneeka Adams (Arthur) of Texarkana, Arkansas, Courtney Mercer- Aikens (Robert) of Little Rock and Antonette “Annie” Daniels of Phoenix; nine grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Florine’s Home Going Celebration will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, December 8, 2018, at Mt. Zion CME Church(819 Hickory Street) in Hope.

There will be a visitation that afternoon at the church, from 12:00 – 1:00pm. Her earthly body will be laid to rest at Cave Hill Cemetery #2 in Hope.
