Obituary for Forrest Rabon Forrest Rabon, 78, of Hanahan, husband of Barbara Rabon, passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at his residence. Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation at 11:30 until hour of service on Friday, October 19, 2018 at Highland Park Baptist Church, 6211 Murray Ave. , Hanahan, SC 29410.

Funeral service will begin at 1 o’clock. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens, 7113 Rivers Ave. , North Charleston, SC 29406.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Highland Park Baptist Church, 6211 Murray Ave. , Hanahan, SC 29410. Forrest was born on January 7, 1940 in Galivants Ferry, SC, son of the late Burroughs and Edna Rabon.

He was a graduate from Aynor High School in Aynor, SC. He retired after 42 years from MeadWestvaco. He enjoyed fishing, shrimping, tinkering on lawn mowers and fellowshipping in the swing.

He also enjoyed go-kart racing with his son, Mark and watching football (big Clemson fan). Most of all, he loved his family and watching his grand kids play ball. Survivors including his wife Barbara of 59 years are: three children: Glenn Rabon (Sandra) of North Charleston, Janet Lewis (Duane) of Moncks Corner and Mark Rabon (Angela) of Hanahan; four grandchildren: Emily Rabon, Lydia Rabon, Dalton Pate and Jaxon Pate; three brothers: Bennette Rabon (Judy) of Galivants Ferry, Lamar “Shot” Rabon (Lenora) of Florence and Thomas Daniels (Sandra) of Charleston; “like a brother”: Carlton Killion (Dolly) of Goose Creek; and three sisters: Eva Jean Elliot of Greenville, Felicia Hucks (Kenny) of Galivants Ferry and Clara Rogers (Billy) of Conway.

He was predeceased by one grandson: Glenn Forrest “Tripp” Rabon, Jr.; one brother: Marshall Rabon; and one sister: Barbara Ann Floyd. A memorial message may be written to the family by visiting our website at www. jamesadyal.com.
