Frances M (Bodnar) Blanchette, 71 – Passed away peacefully in her sleep early Friday morning October 12th after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 12, 1947 in Haltern, Germany and was a lifelong resident of Manchester NH since 1952. Ms. Blanchette is pre-deceased by both her parents, John and Anna (Smolinsky) Bodnar as well as her only sister Theresa Beaudin also from Manchester.

She most recently moved to Biddeford, Maine to be with her children; Suzanne (Blanchette) Barmore and Kathleen Blanchette. She is survived by both of her daughters, her partner of 32 years Neil Ransom of Manchester, 3 grandchildren (Jonathan, Chantelle, and Nathan) as well as 2 great-grandchildren. Frances had previously been employed by the City of Manchester as a tax collector, a Military Entrance Processor, as well as a records clerk with the Manchester Police Department.

She loved playing bingo, watching Harry Potter, and spending time with her family. Visitation will be on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm Street, Biddeford ME 04005. A Memorial Service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 12:00 PM.
