Frances E. Jewell, 97, of Newton Falls passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Community Skilled Nursing Centre. She was born on October 13, 1921 in Warren, the daughter of Arthur and Treva (Swartz) Logan. On September 27, 1940 she was untied in marriage with Okey L. Jewell who preceded her in death April 25, 1984.

She was employed as a cook for Rockwell International for 23 years. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, knitting, fishing and writing letters for the Hall. Frances was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses of Newton Falls.

Cherished memories of Frances will be carried on by her daughters , Patricia Persino of Paris Twp, Frances E. Palo of Middlefield, 10 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Preceding Frances in death were her sons Arthur Jewell, Dewey Jewell, daughter Linda Mathey, brother Dewey Logan, sisters Doris Mae Logan and Winifred Trianovich and a grandson Chuck Mathey. Graveside services will be held at Braceville Twp Cemetery.

The family would like to give special thanks for the care given to Frances and especially Crossroads Hospice, Community Skilled and their employees. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Bernard P. Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls.
