Robert L. Simpson, 67, of Windham, passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at his residence with his loving family at his side. Bob was born on July 1, 1951 in Ravenna, the son of Robert and Virginia (McCoy) Simpson. He was a 1969 graduate of Windham High School.

Bob proudly served in the US Army, serving in both Germany and Vietnam, where he was awarded the Bronze Star. On April 1, 1977 in Ravenna Bob was united in marriage with Cynthia Barnes. Bob was employed as a truck driver for various companies over the years.

In his spare time he enjoyed sitting on the front porch and fishing but above all else he enjoyed spending time with his family. Cherished memories of Bob will be carried on by his wife Cynthia, sons Mickey (Jessica) Simpson of Windham, Mark (Jocelyn) Simpson of Fairbanks, Alaska, Scott (Sherrie) Simpson of Windham, Robert (Jennifer) Stocker of Windham, brother David (Cheryl) Simpson of Denver, CA, sister Joyce (Jim) Kolesar, grandchildren Paige, Abby, Zack, and Christy, and many great grandchildren. Preceding Bob in death were his parents.

There will be no calling hours or services. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Bernard P. Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls.
