Frances Elizabeth Brown was born on August 10, 1930 in Williamsburg, VA. She was the daughter of the late Edna (Harrold) Barlow and Alfred Barlow. Frances Brown came to Phoenixville, PA in the late 1950’s and raised her seven children in the Phoenixville community.

She was a dedicated worker at the Johnson Home, SCM Corporation, High Speed Video where she retired. Frances gave her life to the Lord at the age of twenty-five. She loved the Lord with her whole heart for over sixty years.

She served and was a faithful member of Reading Deliverance Evangelistic Center under the pastorate of Reverend Marie Simmons. Frances was a mighty woman of God who evangelized, preached, and ran revivals at her church and various other churches. Also, she was a prayer warrior and intercessor who opened her home where many souls were won to Christ.

Evangelist Brown had a passion for helping the elderly, the sick and the disabled in homes, hospitals, and nursing homes. She enjoyed playing the organ, reading the Bible, and singing hymns. In her spare time, Frances found joy in planting flowers and vegetables in her garden.

Spending quality time with her family and friends truly brought her happiness. Frances was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. Ms. Brown poured love and devotion into her family; they were her greatest treasure and the community affectionately called her Mother Brown.

Frances continued ministry even in her affliction. She leaves behind her loving sons: Larry Brown (Tina), Alfred Brown husband of Diane Brown, Johnnie Brown (Angel), and Jessie Brown. She also leaves behind her eighteen grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
