Sylvia Mae Brewer went home to be with the Lord surrounded by family on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 13, 2018 after a prolonged illness. She is the daughter of the late Julius and Mary (Shetsko) Martin of Phoenixville, PA. She attended Sacred Heart Elementary School and Phoenixville High School where she led the band as drum majorette and was in the National Honor Society.

She was a fashion model in Philadelphia in her younger years. She married Frank R Brewer of Kimberton, PA, lived in Jacksonville, Fla. near the naval base where he was stationed, then moved back to Kimberton where they raised 3 children: Francine Kochel (Dave), Kathleen Brewer-Smyth (Thomas M), and Frank J Brewer (Lorelie).

She is also survived by her sister, Malvine St John; grandchildren, Brian Allie, Kristi Lancaster (Dan), Clayton Brewer (Katherina), Miranda Stull (Eric); 2 great grandchildren, a niece and nephews. Throughout her long illness, she enjoyed regularly hearing Bible reading and prayers. This year is also their 65th wedding anniversary.

Her Funeral Service and Interment will be privately held. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her honor to Manatawny Manor Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries www. diakon.org/giving/online-donation/ 798 Hausman Rd, Suite 300 Allentown, PA 18104.
