Frances Marion Tolles November 11, 1927 – March 18, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences Frances Marion Tolles passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on March 18, 2019, at Atterdag Care Center in Solvang, California. Frances was born on November 11, 1927, in Wenatchee, Washington. She was predeceased in death by her loving husband, Ken, and is survived by her two sons, James Whiting of Arizona and Wayne Lisonbee of Washington State, and her daughter Karen Curtis of Lompoc California.

She also leaves six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Frances was a long-time resident of Lompoc, where she enjoyed many friends and activities such as line dancing, camping, and fishing at the local area lakes, and working in her beautiful garden. She also loved horses, and for a time she owned and ran stables in Santa Maria.

She retired as a civilian employee from Vandenberg Air Force Base, where her last assignment was working in the microfiche lab, which she enjoyed very much. Frances very much enjoyed the last four years of her life under the watchful, loving care of the staff t Atterdag Care Center, whom she loved as her extended family. The Tolles family would like to express our heart-felt gratitude to everyone at Atterdag for their loving care of our dear beloved mother.

Frances will be laid to rest next to her loving husband, Ken, at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery. Private interment arrangements are pending.
