Obituary of Frances Jackson HERKIMER – Frances Magdalene Jackson, age 74, of Herkimer NY , passed away peacefully on June 25, 2018, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Utica NY . She was born in Plymouth North Carolina , on November 26, 1943, to the late Ernest and LuDennia (Jones) McNair. Frances married Richard Jackson in 1972 at Full Gospel Missions in Jamaica NY.

She went to Pamlico County Central School and graduated in 1963. Frances continued her education at the Cortez Peters Business School in Washington D.C. She furthered her education while attending Herkimer College in Herkimer NY earning and Associates Degree in Human Services.

Frances was employed with the Bureau of Child Welfare for New York City for 15 years, Rosewood Terrace Adult Home in Richfield Springs NY and Agape Rehab Services in Elizabethtown KY. This remarkable woman of God faithfully served her church community in the following capacities; A Sunday School Superintendent for Full Gospel Missions, Jamaica NY, A board member and head of Women’s Ministries for Cooperstown Assembly of God, served on the Usher Board and sang in the Church choir for Faith Temple Church of God in Christ. Frances was a loving, caring, loyal servant of God.

She was resolute, firm, unswerving and steadfast in her commitment to her Lord and Savior. A prayer warrior as she would tarry for hours at a time in the presence of the Lord. Fran loved to sing and would worship God with all she had.

She was an avid reader of the bible. One of her favorite chapters from the bible is found in Ps. 91.

Frances is survived by two daughters and sons in-law; Jenique and James Porter, Jeniqua and Chet Winters. Two sons and one daughter in-law, Jesse and Shaniqua Dowdy and Ernest McNair. Four sisters, one brother and two brothers in-law, Shirley Burgess, Claudia McNair, Queenie McNair, Calvin and Tracey McNair, Nora and Paul Chodkowski.

Ten grandchildren, two aunts, countless nieces, nephews, cousins friends and loved ones. The funeral will be held Sunday, July 1, 2018, at 11am, at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St. , Herkimer. Immediately following the service the family will gather at The Winter’s Residence at 127 Cedarville Rd.

Ilion NY 13357 . Interment will be Monday July 2, 2018, 9am at Oak Hill Cemetery Herkimer NY 13350.
