Obituary for Francis “Frank” C. Gnadinger Gnadinger, Francis (Frank), 74, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018, with his family at his side. He was an employee of the Courier Journal and Standard Gravure for 30 years. He was an avid fan of U of K Basketball.

He enjoyed his grandchildren’s sports and school activities. For entertainment, Frank enjoyed the Arts, the Louisville Orchestra and playing cards and yard jarts with friends, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norbert Gnadinger, Sr, and Helen Buchter Gnadinger; his preciouis daughter, Jacqueline Gnadinger; and his siblings, Norbert Gnadinger, Jr.; Rosie Hillis; and Nancy Sloan.

He was a loving father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Laverne Haunz Gnadinger; children, Anthony Gnadinger (Christina); and Jennifer Stegman (Jude); and six children. We would like to express our gratitude to our family, friends, and Helping Hands Companion Services for all their help and support.

Visitation will be 2-8 p.m., Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, East Louisville. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Monday, November 12, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 7813 Shelbyville Road, with burial at Resthaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, an expression of sympathy may be made to WHAS Crusade for Children, 520 West Chestnut Street, Louisville, KY 40202; The Parkinson’s Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131, or Hosparus Health, 3532 Ephraim McDowell Dr., Louisville, KY 40205-9890.
