Francis G. Vater JR. was born April 2, 1932 in Kansas, City Missouri to Francis and Beulah (McCraken) Vater. He passed away March 9, 2019 in the Arbuckle Memorial Hospital in Sulphur, Oklahoma at the age of 86 years 11 months and 7 days.

He was a loving father of five children. He loved his country and served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, and had a strong conscience about pleasing God and desired justice in all matters, including the poor, and all business practices. He loved to give a second chance to people who the world rejected.

He was married to Margaret Ann Murphy on September 3, 1955 in Kansas City, Missouri, they were married 55 blessed years. Preceded by; his parents, Francis and Beulah; his wife Margaret Ann Vater, and one infant son Joseph David Vater. Survived by; three daughters; Katherine Johnson & husband David Oklahoma City, OK; Janet Jordan & husband Jack, Tulsa, OK; Carol Sullivan & husband William, Tampa, Florida; one son; Francis G. Vater III, Allen, OK.

9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; one sister; Vivian Gibson Delta, Colorado. Services; Thursday March 14 at 12:00 PM at DeArnman/Pickard Chapel Stratford, Oklahoma. Officiating will be Family Members.
