Frank E. Holtmeier, 94, of Beatrice, passed away Sunday morning, June 10, 2018 at the Beatrice Community Hospital. He was born on December 18, 1923 in Ellis, Nebraska to Frank and Ida (Jordening) Holtmeier. Frank served honorably in the United States Navy during World War II.

He retired from farming in the Odell area. Survivors include his companion, Ruth Reel of Beatrice; son, Richard (Eileen Breum) Holtmeier of Renton, WA; daughters, Kathryn (Roger) Dechamps of Hales Corner, WI,… Read More » Jane (Kurt) Wullschleger of Fort Myers, FL, Debra (Mike) Bigando, Cynthia (Roger) Bettin and Mary (Mo) Doghman all of Omaha; sister, Arlene Mahloch of New Braunfels, TX; sisters-in-law, Arlene Holtmeier of Austin, TX, Shirley Holtmeier of Berlin, WI; brother-in-law, Alfred Waltke of Delafield, WI; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Frank is preceded in death by parents, Frank and Ida Holtmeier; brothers, Ed, Gerald, Melvin, Raymond, Robert and Donald Holtmeier; sister, Marilyn Waltke and two granddaughters.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at St. John Lutheran Church of Beatrice with Pastor Leah Lawson officiating. A family prayer service will be held at 10:45 A.M. on Thursday at the church. The family will meet and greet friends and relatives prior to the service on Thursday from 9:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M at the church.

Burial will take place at the Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice at 1:30 P.M. on Thursday with military honors conducted by the United States Naval Honor Guard and Bitting-Norman Post #27 of the American Legion of Beatrice. Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to St. John Lutheran Church of Beatrice or Lutheran World Relief for small farmers with Kirby Cohorst in charge. Arrangements entrusted to Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice.
