Fran Gperkins , June 26, 1931 — January 21, 2019

Frank Gordon Perkins, age 87 passed away on January 21, 2019, at Christiana Care Hospital in Delaware. He was born June 26, 1931, in his home in Montvale, NJ. He was the owner and operator of Perkins Plumbing and Heating in U.S.R., NJ.

Frank served in the U.S. Navy and was a 3 term elected Chief of the U.S.R. Volunteer Fire Department. He was an avid amateur photographer remembered for his N.Y.C. Twin Tower pictures from a helicopter and his contributions to a Saddle River documentary including President Richard Nixon. Frank loved to hunt in Africa and moose hunt in Ontario.

In his 80’s he was a member of the Bridgeville, DE Rifle and Gun Club, revered for his marksmanship. Frank loved and respected the fellowship and hearts of the club’s members. He has a surviving spouse Joanna Perkins; children: Lynda Pelliteri, Debra and Sandy Perkins; grandchildren: Sean Cannariato, Rena Denise, Dillon Shanahan and 2 great-grandchildren: Mia and Elle Denise.

Family will greet friends from 1-4 PM on Sunday at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave. , Ramsey, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 11:30 AM at the Old Stone Church in Upper Saddle River, NJ.

Interment will follow at Old Stone Church Cemetery in Upper Saddle River. Donations may be made in memory of Frank to the Upper Saddle River Fire Dept. , PO Box 274, Saddle River, NJ 07458.
