Fred B. Holdeman, 80 years old, passed away at 9:24 a.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at the home of his daughter in Lakeville. Fred was born on September 7, 1938 in Plymouth, IN to the late Melvin and Esther (Sarber) Holdeman. He has been a lifelong area resident.

On March 28, 1960 in LaPaz, IN, Fred and Linda Louise Wicks were united in marriage. Along with his wife, Linda, survivors include their five children, Diana (Mark) Dickson of Lakeville, Randy (Tammy) Holdeman of Lakeville, Jeff Holdeman of South Bend, Michael (Paula) Holdeman of Lakeland, FL and Fred (Wendy) Holdeman, Jr. of North Liberty; thirteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and two sisters, Ruth Ann Graber and Carol Sue (John) Wagner, both of North Webster, IN. Fred was preceded in death by his three brothers, Ralph, Gene and Charles Holdeman; and his brother-in-law, Allen Graber.

Fred attended the United Pentecostal Church in Walkerton. He served his country with the United States Army and was involved in politics within the Town of Lakeville. Fred managed hotels and living complexes at six RV Parks in Florida for eight years.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, February 4, 2019 at the Palmer Funeral Home, within the Palmer Community Complex, 601 N. Michigan Street, Lakeville, IN. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Fred B. Holdeman may be donated to the United Pentecostal Church, 1174 Lake Street, Walkerton, IN 46574 or to Hospice Foundation, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
