Obituary for Fred V. Miller Fred V. Miller, 78 of Connellsville died Monday May 14, 2018 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. He was born December 19, 1939 in Connellsville a son of the late John and Margaret Baluch Miller. Fred was a 1957 graduate of Connellsville High School.

He was retired from Anchor Hocking Glass where he was employed for over 37 years. He was a veteran of the US Army. He was a member of the Connellsville Twp.

Volunteer Fire Department and he attended the Indian Head Church of God. Fred was a lover of music having played in the high school band and the Molinaro Band. He also played in the bluegrass band, Victory Express.

He was an avid bowler having played in several leagues over his life and he was most proud of one time scoring a 299 game. He is survived by his wife Patricia Barkley Miller; his children, Fred Miller, Jr. of Baltimore, MD. , Julie Downey and her husband Patrick of Connellsville and Wade Miller of Pittsburgh; his stepchildren, Marvin Goodwin and his wife Melissa of Latrobe, Kelly Ritenour and her husband Norman of Normalville and Tammy Firestone and her husband Steven of Normalville; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and one sister, Shirley Newman and her husband Howard of Beaver Falls.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his first wife, Lois Swink Miller and his stepmother Esther Miller. Friends will be received from 2-8 P.M. Thursday in the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville where services will be held on Friday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Douglas Nolt officiating.

Interment will follow in the Normalville Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded by the Valley Veterans. The Connellsville Twp.
