Obituary for John R. Gildroy John R. Gildroy, 72 of Mount Pleasant died Monday May 7, 2018 at his home. He was born July 17, 1945 in Mount Pleasant a son of the late John W. and Ruth Olive Foster Gildroy. John was a 1963 graduate of the former Scottdale High School.

He was retired from the US Steel Irvin Works. John loved to work on cars, tearing them down and rebuilding them and he loved going to car shows with his friend Clyde Kimmel and his family. He is survived by his wife Delores J. Ritenour Gildroy; his sons, John W. Gildroy and his wife Eileen of Normalville, Shawn M. Gildroy of Mount Pleasant and Jason A. Gildroy and his wife Bobbi Sue of Stahlstown; his grandchildren, Alayna, Autumn Rose and Alexander.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a daughter, Kathy Marie. As per the wishes of Mr. Gildroy there will be no public viewing or services. All arrangements are under the direction of the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 406 E. Washington St..
